Voices... from the Forest 

 An art exhibit and One Night Performance  combining the talents of artists, photographers, performers, and writers.

ART OPENING & SPOKEN WORD PERFORMANCE

SATURDAY, AUGUST 6th, 7:30pm at Stellar Gallery 

Ticket Price $8 in advance $10 at the door

Inspired by our journey through life in challenging times....diving in, and rising out of the Underworld....celebrating triumph and embracing tragedy...inspired by classic archetypes.  A thoughtful look at the trials we face, and how we live our lives. 

In these changing and tumultuous times, nature gives comfort and guidance, both through its shadows and illuminating light.

This spontaneous collaborative event will embody both ancient and contemporized archetypal spirits of the forest in still images, performance, and video.

A collaboration with performance poet Claire Blotter.

 

Claire Blotter has taught writing & performance poetry at San Francisco State University, John F. Kennedy University, Dominican College & the College of Marin. . She has published two poetry chapbooks & received  numerous grants for poetry, theater & video.  Claire is a former Poetry Slam National Finalist, and has  co-created 4  art environments / performances in Bolinas dedicated to the power &  magic of universal archetypes. Her current collaboration with Stellar Gallery, "Voices from the Forest" focuses on spoken word performance inspired by the interaction between writers and visual artists.
