Cathy McCrery-Cordle’s love of photography started when her two children were young. As they grew, she started noticing and photographing the intricate details in nature; the way raindrops bead across a leaf, the way sunlight streams through a small scene and illuminates a dew drop, and the graceful rhythm found in the shape of a flower petal’s edge.
Cathy never studied photography formally. She acquired her knowledge in photography by studying the work of other photographers who inspired her, and by putting the methods and techniques she read about into practice. McCrery-Cordle holds a masters degree in linguistics, and lives with her family in the Western Sierra Foothills just outside Yosemite National Park.
She is represented by Stellar Gallery in Oakhurst, CA and is included in the anthology, “Sierra Wonders” published by the Arts Alliance of Three Rivers, CA. |
